Our Theatre Department consists of nine operating theatres, a Minor Procedures Unit and ten post‑anaesthetic recovery bays. Within our theatres we provide highly specialised elective care including Renal Transplantation, Spinal, Neurosurgical, Burns & Plastics, Neonatal, Thoracic, Complex ENT, Trauma & Orthopaedics.Role OverviewAs one of our band 5 practitioners, you will undertake a preceptorship period (12 months for newly qualified) during which you will complete the required trust & theatre competencies to become a skillful and knowledgeable practitioner. You will be supported in a supernumerary period of 3 months, working alongside your mentor to learn your role and build confidence. You will also be required to complete all relevant MFT trust mandatory training.Shift PatternsEarly shift: 8–6Late shift: 12–21.30Night shift: 21.00–08.30Main DutiesWorking as an ODP/Registered Nurse within Paediatric Theatres, you’ll provide the highest standards of care and make a difference to the lives of children across Manchester and beyond. You’ll provide outstanding clinical support and deliver direct care for our patients within your specialist area.
