Apply for the QA Engineer role at Totalmobile Ltd. At Totalmobile, we build technology that helps essential workers deliver critical services every single day. Our software supports over a thousand organisations and hundreds of thousands of field workers — from housing and healthcare teams to those on the front line of public safety. Among the products at the heart of this mission is Organise, our rostering solution used across the blue light sector. It helps emergency service teams plan their shifts, coordinate their people, and make sure the right specialist is in the right place at the right time. It’s a complex, deeply relied-upon system with a long history and an exciting future, currently delivered as a Windows desktop application and evolving toward a modern web experience. To continue supporting the people who protect and serve our communities, we’re now looking for a QA Engineer who thrives on clarity, detail, and meaningful impact. The Role As our new QA Engineer, you’ll work across our desktop, web, and mobile applications, with your main focus on ensuring the reliability and usability of the Organise desktop suite. You’ll design and execute manual test plans, carry out UI/UX testing with a user-centred mindset, perform API testing using tools like Postman, and investigate and manage defects through Jira and Xray. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and wider teams to clarify requirements and fill in the gaps where documentation is limited. You’ll support accessibility testing efforts and contribute to shared knowledge within the QA team. While this role is primarily manual, you’ll also have opportunities to provide input into automation initiatives as our long‑term roadmap evolves. What You Bring You will bring around 3 years of experience in manual QA roles and hold an ISTQB Foundation certification. You’ll have strong experience testing Windows desktop applications, with additional exposure to web and mobile platforms. A solid understanding of UI/UX testing principles and a keen sense for what makes a user journey feel effortless will be essential. You’ll also have hands‑on experience with API testing, ideally using Postman. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, as well as an interest in accessibility and performance testing, will be beneficial. Just as important as your technical skills are your soft skills: strong communication, confidence when collaborating with cross‑functional teams, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a positive, curious attitude. Why Totalmobile? At Totalmobile, we build technology that powers essential services across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. You’ll join a friendly, collaborative, and supportive team that takes pride in delivering high‑quality products. As our applications transition toward a web‑first future over the next couple of years, your role will naturally evolve, offering opportunities to explore new challenges, tools, and technologies. You’ll have the chance to shape the future of our products while growing your own skills along the way. Ready to Be Part of the Story? If you’re a QA Engineer who loves uncovering clarity in complexity, improving user experiences, and ensuring software simply works, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and become a guardian of quality at Totalmobile. At Totalmobile, we want our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues’ different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in their journey with us.
