We are looking to engage a casual worker to support our team on an ad hoc basis at Cobbs Quay Marina. This role will be a no-fixed hours casual worker contract. Typically, casual work assigned to you will be based at Cobbs Quay Marina, Poole. There may also be the opportunity to work at one of our other sites within the region. Responsibilities Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitors. Oversee the berthing allocations of vessels. Carry out general maintenance tasks as required. Ensure the telephone is answered in a correct and timely manner. Ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Assist in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated services. Maintain the security of the site. Carry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standards. Qualifications Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive can‑do attitude. Previous experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry an advantage). General maintenance skills (not essential but an advantage). Self‑motivated and able to work without supervision. Sound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplace. Confident use of IT systems. A practical, resourceful and common‑sense approach. Good practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage). Competent swimmer (essential). Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent. There is also full on‑job training leading to industry‑recognised qualifications. MDL Marinas are an equal‑opportunities employer.
