Overview Are you an experienced RGN, Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children by working alongside other services to get the best outcome? We are looking for an Advanced Mental Health Practitioner to join us for a 12 month FCT. The CAMHS CiC is established to ensure that children who are in care receive quicker access to mental health support. We do this by working in partnership and sharing knowledge, to effectively meet their and their carers needs by providing evidence based interventions. In this role you will be working in a trauma informed model across multiple agencies and services. You will support in: trauma informed care, creating stability of the child or young person's home placement, maintaining relationships with family members, reaching as high as possible education achievements, creating local social networks and fostering strong relationships. Responsibilities Providing trauma informed care and creating stability of the child's or young person's home placement. Maintaining relationships with family members and fostering strong relationships. Maximising education achievements and creating local social networks. Working in partnership with multiple agencies and services. Offering consultation, advice, information and support to young people, carers and professionals. Providing training to carers and professionals. Clinical assessments for young people. Delivering high and low intensity evidence based therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family). Joint working with partner agencies including Mental Health Support Teams, Early Help, Youth Offending Teams, other CAMHS. Using routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Receiving supervision, as appropriate to the role. Qualifications Qualified experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties. Passion for providing collaborative and evidence based mental health care. Enthusiasm for multi professional and multi agency working. Ability to travel between multiple sites.
