These posts offer an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and to develop new models of working and services that support all older people attending the hospital and within the local community. Whipps Cross Hospital serves a local population with a high degree of frailty and within the Barts Health Group is being developed to be a centre for Geriatric medicine. As part of the development of Whipps Cross as a centre for frailty, Whipps Cross Hospital in 2021 became a centre of excellence for fragility fracture care, leading to an expansion in the workforce required to revolutionise the care for these patients and other orthopaedic patients with fragility fractures. These posts offer a unique opportunity to participate in the redevelopment of the Hospital itself as well as the services we provide as Whipps Cross looks forward to the building of a new Hospital and care pathways to provide truly gold standard care to our frail elderly patients. You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and be on the Specialist Registrar or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
