Company and Location Department: Academic/Bath Spa University partnership (BSU) Location: Leeds (On-Site) Position Overview Role: Lecturer in Construction Management for the BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. Requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Responsibilities All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met. Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate. Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials. Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices. Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression. Qualifications Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records. Able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable: Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent). Experience of design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
