Overview SEN Nanny in London W2. A fantastic part-time opportunity for a professional SEN Nanny to support a girl, 8, who has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and her younger brother (4). Wage: £21.00 gross per hour, £27,300.00+ gross per annum. Location and hours Nearest Tube/Station: Paddington, Royal Oak, Lancaster Gate, Queensway, or Bayswater. Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm – 8.00pm. Additional hours available during school holidays, agreed in advance and paid extra. 3 hours of babysitting each week, paid at £21.00 gross per hour. Role details Driver: Not essential, but there is an automatic car to use on duty if the candidate can drive. Essential experience: Supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and ADHD. Strong skills in de-escalation and emotional regulation. Non-smoker/vaper. Female candidates only. Desirable: Experience of Occupational Therapy and incorporating techniques into children’s daily routines (e.g., deep pressure exercises). Start Date: September. Isabelle is an articulate, intelligent, sociable autistic girl who enjoys arts and crafts, imaginative play, and has interests including Harry Potter. She attends dance class and chess club. Isabelle benefits from routines and can experience fatigue, anxiety, sensory and emotional dysregulation. Alex is a lively four-year-old who enjoys board games, swimming, football, and time at the park; he shows traits of ADHD and can experience sensory and emotional regulation challenges. Overview of role This is a collaborative role, with Mum present at home. The SEN Nanny will work in close partnership with Mum to manage after-school pickups and the evening routine. The Nanny will help Isabelle regulate emotions after school and support both children during the evening schedule, including homework supervision and preparing the evening meal, as well as assisting with bath and bedtime. When Isabelle goes to bed earlier, the Nanny will care for one child while Mum attends to the other. During school holidays, there is more time for activities inside and outside the home. The family is looking for consistency and long-term placement. Travel and holidays The family travels to Cyprus every year and would be delighted to have the Nanny join them. Additional hours are available during school holidays.
