Quality Control Manager – Novus Property Solutions Location: Burton office, office/site based around Burton, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas. Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. As a Quality Control Manager for Novus, you’ll see the impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and your team every day. This varied and challenging position offers the opportunity to work with a skilled professional team, in a secure environment with long‑term contracts and the chance to grow and learn. Utilising your quality‑control management skills in Social Housing and planned refurbishment works, you’ll look for ways to add real value through robust reporting and timely document control from inception to handover, sharing a right‑first‑time approach to ensure seamless service delivery. Supported by peers, team and management, you will solve problems and be trusted to make decisions that grow and develop relationships and revenue. Responsibilities Ensure best‑practice business processes for management and delivery of works completed, including data analysis and MI to identify trends and drive contract improvements. Maintain the client and customer journey as a priority, meeting their needs through consistent delivery of contractual KPI’s & objectives. Support and encourage best practice delivery across the operational team. Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to. Inspect, snag and correct defects at each installation stage, including independent inspections. Confirm that materials are installed correctly in accordance with specifications and manufacturers' recommendations. Supervise tradespeople and supervisors to maintain satisfactory quality and progress. Actively monitor KPIs, identify areas of concern and collaborate with the relevant manager to recover dips in performance. Identify potential resource improvements, including subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour. Manage stakeholder relations, liaising with clients and internal Contracts Managers. Review IT systems performance and support use of systems to their full potential. Provide data analysis and compile reports as requested. Qualifications & Skills Strong experience in quality control, ideally with planned refurbishment works in Social Housing or tenanted properties. Good working knowledge of internal or external works and understanding of delivery through to completion and handover. Commercial awareness, ensuring costs meet budget requirements, overseeing KPI’s and best practice. Excellent communication skills to build relationships with all stakeholders. SMSTS or NVQ beneficial but not essential. Confidence with IT and proficiency in MS Office. Full UK driving licence (to travel to sites daily). DBS check required.
