People Advisor Make an Impact at RSM UK We are looking for a People Advisor to join RSM. This role is available in our Birmingham, Manchester, Reading or London offices. Working as a key member of the people team, you will provide a commercial and premium people service to your stakeholder group supporting various departments that work nationally across the UK. You will manage the service delivery and support all elements of the employee experience from joining RSM, to going on family leave, to leaving, and everything in between. You will also work closely with the Senior People Advisor and People Advisory Manager to strategically support your service line and area of the business, working on engagement, sense of belonging, wellbeing, diversity & inclusion initiatives. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the National People Team function with the opportunity to work on wider service line or national groups. You will work closely with other People Advisors and have access to a People Assistant as well as other specialist functions within the people team including POT, reward, D&I and wellbeing. The remit of the role will focus on proactive people support and advice to your client groups, including completion of the annual bonus and salary review processes, dealing with employee relations issues as they arise, providing wellbeing and absence management support, provision of management information / analysis and delivery of service line initiatives. What you’ll make an impact by: Providing advice to the business on the application of all RSM policies and procedures, and involvement in amending / updating our policies where appropriate Providing support and guidance to key stakeholders, department heads and line managers to help them manage their areas of responsibility and its on-going development Providing expert advice and guidance to partners and mangers on a host of employee relations activities including simple and complex capability (performance / qualification), disciplinary and grievances ensuring that legal and RSM requirements are met, that risks are appropriately managed and commercially sound. You will also undertake investigations in relation to grievances, disciplinaries and capability matters, or will attend such meetings where appropriate Supporting the business with the annual bonus and salary review processes for your area of responsibility but utilising market data and by providing guidance / support to line managers, budget holders and regional leads Attending and managing appraisal moderation meetings for your areas of the business, ensuring that performance grading distribution is fair and appropriate. Providing advice to line managers in relation to giving constructive feedback, coaching, and setting appropriate objectives Conducting exit interviews for more senior roles, or in contentious situations, as and when required. Providing guidance to individuals, partners and line managers regarding maternity, paternity, parental and shared parental leave. Promoting the use of share parental leave amongst all employees What we are looking for: We value diverse experiences and perspectives.
