Rose Bruford College is seeking Volunteer Wellbeing Assistants to join our Student Life team from January 2026.This role is ideal for students studying Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or related disciplines who want to build practical experience alongside their studies.About the RoleAs a Volunteer Wellbeing Assistant, you will work closely with our Student Wellbeing Advisor and Student Life team to:Provide a friendly, welcoming first point of contact for students accessing support.Assist with day-to-day wellbeing operations and general enquiries.Signpost students to relevant services (counselling, disability support, finance, etc.).Support wellbeing events, campaigns, and drop-in sessions.Carry out basic administrative tasks (training provided).Escalate safeguarding or risk concerns appropriately.What We’re Looking ForIdeally a university student in a wellbeing-related field.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Empathetic, patient, and reliable.Able to commit to minimum 2 days per week.Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.Enhanced DBS check required.What You’ll GainFree in-house training (mental health awareness, triage, safeguarding).Hands-on experience in a Higher Education wellbeing environment.Opportunities to shadow experienced advisors and counsellors.Ongoing supervision and reflective practice support.Volunteering certificate and reference upon completion.Potential progression to a paid role after August 2026.Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses.👉 Apply now and help us create an inclusive, supportive environment for all studentsSeniority levelInternshipEmployment typeContractJob functionAdministrativeIndustriesHigher EducationWe’re maintaining an inclusive, student-focused approach in our recruitment process.
