A multi-award-winning developer has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Aberdeen.This organisation has built its reputation on designing and delivering a high-end market-leading product and accompanying this with award-winning customer service. The core of the business is its commitment to its employees who enjoy a market-leading benefits package and salary plus a range of opportunities for learning and professional development.Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the QS will be responsible for delivering the best quality projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire at the best possible cost.Key Responsibilities & DutiesPreparing bills of quantities and schedules of worksSubcontract procurement, agreement, payment and awardContract administration and cost controlAttending and contributing to commercial / operations meetings as requiredPreparing valuations, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issuedRe-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawingsManaging contract variations with sub-contractorsDealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspectiveAssisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost / value reconciliationsAssisting with and agreeing client and sub-contract final accountsCore BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceCompany Car or Car AllowanceHybrid & Flexible workingSignificant bonusShare save schemeUp to 10% company pension contribution34 days annual leaveContracted hours : 37.5 hours per weekLarge selection of other benefits-in-kindExcellent training opportunitiesApplication RequirementsThe successful applicant will currently be in a Quantity Surveyor role or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career. It is beneficial for applicants to have experience within a housing developer but it's not essential. PQS, or QS from other sectors such as civils or a general building contractor are also encouraged to apply.
