About the Role We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join Nationwide Platforms, the UK market leader in powered access. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately planning the delivery and collection of our equipment for our depots within the region. We can be flexible on location, and are open to applicants at either our Swansea or Bristol depot. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our business, so we need someone who has proven experience of transport planning, excellent organisational skills and someone who is great at dealing with people. Key Responsibilities Planning the delivery of new hire orders to meet agreed customer delivery times, and ensuring that off‑hired equipment is collected within the timescale prescribed. Planning the activity of drivers, while maximising efficiency and ensuring high levels of productivity. Working with the Transport Manager, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained and inspected to the schedules set by fleet management. Ensuring that drivers comply with all relevant Road Transport legislation. Qualifications Previous logistics/transport planning experience – Powered Access experience desired. Good understanding of logistics routing and UK road networks. A strong communicator, with the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent customer service and people skills. Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise. Good knowledge of computer systems and transport planning software.
