Our Outstanding rated Maternity Unit at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital is inviting an experienced Band 6 Midwife to join our rotational pool of midwives. As a skilled and compassionate midwife, you will play a vital role within a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, ensuring the best possible outcomes for mothers and their newborns. This position offers substantial development opportunities and the chance to manage complex situations with confidence. Responsibilities Own and account for your midwifery practice, maintaining high standards of evidence‑based care. Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team, making appropriate referrals and understanding the roles of team members. Demonstrate competence in clinical practice and post‑registration study. Administer intravenous drugs and cannulate IV lines. Perform perineal repair. Execute theatre skills, including 'scrubbing' and 'running'. Manage emergency resuscitation of mothers and babies. Handle obstetric emergencies safely and efficiently. Use and maintain specialised obstetric equipment. Lead the care of women having low‑risk births.
