Homestay Coordinator

EF Bournemouth International Language Campus is seeking a Homestay Coordinator to help grow and support our homestay community. In this role, you’ll be connecting with local families, often by phone, to encourage them to join our network, while also placing international students in welcoming homes. The focus is on creating safe, supportive, and culturally enriching experiences that benefit both students and host families. Responsibilities Proactively contact prospective host families by phone to introduce EF, build relationships, and encourage them to join our homestay network Prepare written information to be given to prospective and current homestay providers Work with homestay providers to find suitable accommodation for language students in the UK Process and maintain homestay accommodation records using EF’s accommodation database Provide pre-departure accommodation information to providers about arriving students Attend local events or organize info sessions at community centres to present the benefits of hosting international students Visit potential host homes, check living standards, assess cultural compatibility, and complete safety evaluations Respond quickly to host–student mismatch situations and help arrange emergency placements when needed Report to the Homestay Manager to ensure sufficient homestay beds for peak season and to ensure student details are accurate each week for arriving and departing students Support students and providers with move and transfer requests when necessary Strive to improve the quality of our homestay provision Requirements Given the on-call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to hours of work is essential Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRMs (desirable) Highly motivated, energetic, positive Customer service oriented, friendly & approachable Able to remain calm under pressure and diffuse potentially difficult situations Sensitive to the needs of international students living away from home Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients Attention to detail, organised & thorough All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment Why you will love working with EF Continuous professional development Work in a truly international environment Regular social events Ambition is nurtured and fast-tracked career enhancement opportunities are provided Staff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition Employee Assistance Program Access to EF Hello language learning #J-18808-Ljbffr
