Join us in our shared mission of opening the world through education.ResponsibilitiesProactively contact prospective host families by phone to introduce EF, build relationships, and encourage them to join our homestay networkPreparing written information to be given to prospective and current homestay providersWorking with our homestay providers to find suitable accommodation for our language students while they study with us in the UKProcessing & maintaining homestay accommodation records using the EF’s own accommodation databaseProviding pre-departure accommodation information to providers about arriving studentsAttend local events or organize info sessions at community centres to present the benefits of hosting international studentsVisit potential host homes, check living standards, assess cultural compatibility, and complete safety evaluationsRespond quickly to host-student mismatch situations and help arrange emergency placements when neededReporting to Homestay Manager to ensure there are sufficient homestay beds to accommodate our peak season and to make sure student details are provided accurately each week for arriving and departing studentsSupport students and providers with move and transfer requests when necessaryStrive to improve the quality of our homestay provisionRequirementsGiven the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken isessentialFamiliar with Microsoft Office and CRMs (desirable)Highly motivated, energetic, positiveCustomer service orientated, friendly & approachable mannerAble to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situationsSensitive to needs of international students living away from homeExcellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clientsAttention to detail, organised & thoroughAll offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS checkand two referencesLegally able to work in the UK at commencement of employmentWhy you will love working with EFWork in a truly international environmentAmbition is nurtured and fast-tracked career enhancement opportunities are providedStaff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruitionEF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
