Nuclear Medicine Radiographer/Technologist

The nuclear medicine department is currently looking to recruit a Nuclear Medicine Technologists to work at one of the country's largest NHS Trusts,Barts Health NHS Trust, currently has NM spread over 3 sites, namely St Bartholomew's Hospital , Royal London Hospital, and Whipps Cross University Hospital: Comprises of 4 SPECT-CT, 1 Gamma Cameras and a state-of-the-art GE Discovery PET-CT.The trust also runs a major GFR services for the oncologydepartment, therapy service and has a large in-house Radiopharmacy department. We have recently installed a new SPECT CT system at RLH, with plans underway to add another PET CT system to complement the existing one and expand our Radionuclide therapy service. Additionally, we operate a highly active Rubidium cardiac service, which is one of the busiest in the country.The department is well led by senior managers and well supported by Medical Physics and Nuclear Medicine Physicians who provide guidance and support. Successful candidate will be supported in their career path by providing educational opportunities, sponsorships to conferences and seminars. We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated professionals to work across all of their main sites at Barts.Main duties of the jobTo be eligible for these positions, you will need:At least 1 year NHS experience.Eligible or Undergoing Pg Dip in Nuclear Medicine Or BSc Radiography or DCR or equivalent qualification in Nuclear Medicine Technology Or PG Dip in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualification.Ability to develop own skills and provide information to others to help their developmentAbility to plan, prioritize and organize workloadDemonstrate ability to work under pressureAbility to rotate across 3 different Hospitals within the TrustCandidate is expected to rotate through various Nuclear medicine/PET CT within the trust that are located at various places in and around London.There will be occasional requirement to work on Saturday and Sunday on a rotational basis and this work is voluntary.Possibilities to develop professionally in the field The Department is keen to promote continuing professional development, and you will be encouraged to initiate and participate in a variety of projects and audits.
