General Cargo Coordinator

Portsmouth
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Full-time | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week

TeamJobs is working with a well-established logistics company in Portsmouth who are looking for an experienced General Cargo Coordinator to join their busy operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping things moving - from coordinating cargo arrivals to liaising with transport providers and ensuring smooth, compliant operations every step of the way.

A typical day as a General Cargo Coordinator will include:

Acting as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, and internal teams.
Planning and coordinating cargo arriving and leaving the terminal.
Managing customs processes for imports, exports, and the External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF).
Maintaining accurate data on Warehouse Management and Customer Systems.
Supporting warehouse operations with documentation, labelling, and stock control.
Delivering a high level of customer service and communication at all times.

What you will need:

Experience in Shipping, Logistics, Distribution or Warehousing
Knowledge of customs procedures and stock control
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and data systems)
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Forklift licence and driving licence (preferred - training can be provided)
