Fixed term for: 8 months For more information and to apply for the above post, please contact: The Skylark Federation is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) focus to join our welcoming and friendly team at Iford and Kingston Church of England Primary School. This rewarding role will primarily involve working closely with 2 children at separate times of the day both with SEN within our Early Years setting. You will be supporting the children’s learning and development through a play‑based curriculum, helping to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where they can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Experience or interest in speech and language development and/or Early Years is highly desirable. Supporting communication skills will be a key element of the role. The successful candidate will: Work as part of the Early Years team to deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences tailored to the child’s individual needs. Collaborate closely with the class teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support. Be patient, compassionate, and adaptable in responding to the child's needs throughout the school day. Liaise effectively with parents/carers and colleagues to promote the child’s well‑being, learning, and progress. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure the successful candidate feels confident in delivering high‑quality SEN support. A genuine passion for working with young children and those with additional needs is essential. Working Hours: 8.30am – 3.15pm, Monday - Friday, term‑time only Start Date: As soon as possible.
