Your role is vital in maintaining the smooth running of our warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards, and keeping our machinery in top shape. You will be a key player in providing a secure, reliable service to our customers, working both independently and as part of a team. Key ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload confidential paper and materials from vehicles with precision and careConduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks on shredding and baling machinery to ensure optimal performanceOperate shredding and baling machinery safely, adhering to all compliance standardsReport any machinery or equipment defects to minimize production downtimeFollow manual handling procedures to ensure safety during lifting and manoeuvringMaintain a clean and organized work area to boost operational efficiencyUse counterbalance forklift or JCB telehandler truck safely in a bustling environmentAssist with collections from customer sites as needed Qualifications and ExperienceA commitment to high Health and Safety standardsNumerate and literate with excellent verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively both as part of a team and independentlyFlexibility and resilience under pressureExperience with FLT counterbalance or JCB telehandler is requiredConfidential waste paper or recycling experience is a plus, but we provide full trainingFirst Aid and Fire Marshall certifications are desirable but not necessary BenefitsAnnual Leave – 23 days + bank holidaysLife Assurance – 2x basic annual salaryBereavement Counselling – Support during difficult timesFree Onsite ParkingEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) – Confidential counselling via Health AssuredEye Care Support – Free eye tests and up to £70 towards glasses for DSE users and drivers (includes retinal photography for drivers over 40) #J-18808-Ljbffr
