Job Description Summary GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage (PCS) business delivers electrification systems that power some of the world’s most critical energy, maritime, and industrial applications. From advanced motors and drives to control technologies, we support our customers’ transition to greater efficiency and decarbonization. We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Digital Technology (DT) Director for the North Europe (NEU) region. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the regional digital strategy, driving innovation, and aligning DT initiatives with the business’s long‑term growth objectives. The DT Director will act as a focal point for digital strategy and transformation across applications, supply chain, commercial, and engineering domains, working closely with global DT teams, enabling functions, and the CTO organization. This role will need to drive change and transformation in DT, so it can support the business for its expected growth. This is not a day‑to‑day IT operations position; rather, it requires a forward‑looking leader who can influence at senior levels, manage complex stakeholder environments, and define strategies that balance transformation, compliance, and defense requirements. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the NEU digital technology strategy aligned to PCS and GE Vernova business priorities. Act as the strategic advisor and escalation point for DT in the region. Represent DT in leadership forums, influencing decisions and shaping direction. Partner with global DT COEs, enabling functions, and regional leaders to integrate solutions that drive growth and efficiency. Develop and oversee the budget, allocating resources effectively to support initiatives in alignment with profitability. Drive adoption and optimisation of key applications and platforms (e.g., PLM, PM, supply chain, commercial). Lead digital transformation programs that enable efficiency, collaboration, and customer value. Identify opportunities for innovation and new technology deployment across the region. Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, including those in defense and regulated environments. Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and represent PCS DT in high‑level engagements. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes. Ensure DT systems and processes meet GE Vernova policies and UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements. Oversee regional compliance with export controls, data handling, and security classifications. Promote sharing of best practices and consistency across regional and global teams. Provide vision and direction to a regional DT team. Mentor, coach, and develop DT talent to support future growth. Empower functional leaders while focusing on strategy and alignment. Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field (Master’s or MBA advantageous). Significant IT/digital leadership experience, with strong focus on strategy, applications, and transformation. Experience working with or delivering services for defense/regulated industries. Strong understanding of IT strategy, architecture, project/program management, and digital adoption. Experience in regulated/secure environments, including MOD export control, NNPPI, and air‑gapped systems. UK sole nationality and ability to hold or obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Desired Characteristics Proven ability to define and execute digital strategy in complex environments. Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers for the team. Strong organisational and planning skills; effective in ambiguity. Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills, make decisions when solutions are not fully defined. Confident communicator, able to influence and interact at all organisational levels and across matrix organisations. Experience in driving digital transformation and managing multi‑functional programs. Measures the impact of trends and acts accordingly. Why Join Us? This is a rare opportunity to play a strategic leadership role in one of GE Vernova’s most critical businesses. You’ll be at the forefront of digital transformation in a high‑security, high‑impact environment, shaping the future of electrification systems and enabling long‑term growth.
