OverviewBand 7 Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiography. We are seeking a dynamic and conscientious Echocardiographer to work at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work at the Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew's Hospital (City of London), with rotation to another site within the Trust (Newham Hospital) and contribute to the weekend rota on a rotational basis. This role provides exposure to a variety of complex cardiac pathologies and clinical situations.To be successful, the applicant must have full BSE/EACVI transthoracic accreditation (or international equivalent) and be able to work independently providing this service. The department holds dual accreditation with both the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) and European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI.)There is an opportunity to progress to training in advanced specialist areas such as cardio-oncology, cardiomyopathy, and/or adult congenital heart disease.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individual who will contribute to the cardiac physiology team and echo service.
