Lead Frontend Engineer – Climate Tech – London / Cambridge Take ownership of front-end engineering at a growing climate‑tech company shaping the future of energy planning. You’ll work directly with the CTO, steer architectural decisions, and mentor a growing team. What you’ll lead The migration to a micro‑frontend architecture The creation of a reusable design system + component library High‑performance geospatial visualisation (DeckGL, WebGL) Front‑end standards: TypeScript excellence, testing, CI/CD, performance Mentoring front‑end engineers + shaping team culture What you bring Expert React + TypeScript (4+ years), 2+ years leading engineers Strong architecture background – ideally micro‑frontends Experience with complex data visualisation or geospatial tools (DeckGL/Mapbox) Knowledge of modern bundlers (Vite, Webpack, esbuild) Focus on performance, modularity, and scalable front‑end systems Nice to have Micro‑frontend patterns (Module Federation, single‑spa) D3/Plotly/Recharts, AWS, testing frameworks If you want to lead architecture, own engineering quality, and help shape a platform used by half of the UK’s cities, let’s talk.
