Projects Director at Onnec Onnec Group is a leading independent technology partner and global integrator, with over 30 years of experience and a team of more than 800 experts. We specialise in providing end‑to‑end connectivity solutions that propel organisations everywhere from structured cabling to managed services. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Projects Director will consistently deliver in line with department targets for the Project Delivery business area with direct responsibility for implementation, delivery, support and financial performance for their projects. Responsibilities Manage the strategic aspects of large projects and mitigate any risk. Oversee Operations, Project and Site Managers working on client projects within the business unit. Review high‑level deliverables across the business unit. Ensure engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place. Develop, implement, and maintain sound business operations. Develop and implement strategic objectives for the business unit that align with departmental initiatives. Report profit and loss figures. Ensure the business unit meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives, including revenue and margin. Develop and meet revenue and other financial goals for the business unit. Manage the negotiation of contract pricing when necessary. Grow long‑term relationships with clients. Communicate relevant business unit information to superiors. Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual. Evaluate and redesign business unit offerings. Understand the implications of different technical choices and guide clients to the best solution for their situation. Qualifications Extensive experience in a project environment at a senior management level. Excellent knowledge of industry project delivery processes and project contracts scope and deliverables. Excellent knowledge of PRINCE2 standards. Ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional customer service. Knowledge of industry processes, tools, systems and partners. Ownership of problems and sound judgment. Excellent people management and leadership skills. Ability to develop and implement a business unit operational strategy fully aligned with corporate strategy. Proficiency with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Commercial acumen. Additional Team Management Requirements Organise multi‑skilled teams in projects that involve several companies and/or organisational units. Involve several disciplines e.g., technical, business, financial.
