Sustainable Finance Managing Associate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Managing Associate (5+ years' PQE) to join a growing Social, Sustainable & Green Finance team. This role offers the chance to work on innovative and high-profile finance transactions that support ESG objectives, sustainability-linked funding, and responsible investment, while developing your expertise within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and support a wide range of sustainable finance transactions, including sustainability-linked loans, green bonds, and social impact funding structures. Advise lenders, borrowers, and investors on ESG frameworks, regulatory developments, and reporting obligations. Draft and negotiate finance documentation aligned with sustainability standards, taxonomies, and disclosure requirements. Support clients to integrate ESG criteria into financial and governance structures. Collaborate with colleagues across finance, regulatory, and disciplines while taking increasing responsibility for your own matters. Supervise and mentor junior associates and trainees, contributing to knowledge sharing and team development. Support business development and thought leadership through client engagement, presentations, and market insights. Essential Skills & Experience 5+ years' PQE in banking, finance, or capital markets, with exposure to or strong interest in sustainable or ESG-linked finance. Strong technical expertise with excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to deliver clear, commercially focused advice on complex legal and regulatory issues. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. A collaborative mindset with the ability to supervise, mentor, and support junior team members. Enthusiasm for innovation, sustainability, and contributing to the growth of a developing practice area.
