Job Overview The role is to obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services for designated Refurbishment/Projects. Whilst liaising with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of designated project/contracts, you will assist in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids and tenders to demanding timescales. You’ll also help develop the procurement programme, prepare and monitor cash‑flow forecasts for designated projects, and prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client or its representative. You will prepare monthly valuation reports, submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time. Payments to sub-contractors will be valued and authorised by you. You shall liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements, attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues and/or clients/customers, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills. You’ll monitor contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs or timescales, and assist in the control of contract budgets. The role will also require you to drive to project sites – a full UK driving licence is mandatory. Additional responsibilities include performing a DBS check and participating in our Disability Confident programme. Qualifications Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the Social Housing sector on multiple contracts. Knowledge of responsive repairs – a distinct advantage in this area. Understanding of JCT and Measure Term Contracts, and Price per Property (PPP) experience. Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in IT with strong MS Office skills. Full UK driving licence – travel is a requirement. Will undergo a DBS check and participate in our Disability Confident programme.
