Academic Appointments are working in close partnership with an SEMH School in the East Riding who are recuiting for several teaching roles, one of which is for an immediate start. The role of Maths Teacher within this well-established and supportive SEMH Provision will afford you with the opportunity to make a positive impact on some of the most at‑risk students in the area and to provide support for students to progress to the next stages of their education. Who are we looking for? A successful candidate would: Have experience in an educational setting either in mainstream schools or any other alternative provision. A history of working with students with challenging behaviour. A confident, caring, and assertive personality What to expect? Working here requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as the student has complex social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed. The student has difficulties in displaying these emotions in a productive way so the use of Team Teach positive behaviour management strategies may be needed. The student will require positive re enforcement from you when they display good behaviours.
