We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at S&S Plastics. This role is critical to ensuring our machinery and equipment operate efficiently and reliably to support our production goals.

WHAT OUR MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS DO:

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and carry out effective repairs
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment
Support the achievement of the production plan by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
Respond to electrical installations and/or mechanical installation work
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Communicate with contractors and issuing of work permits
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol/procedure
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS:

Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing or plastics environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings for all machinery
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
