You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. Position An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary based at University Hospital Ayr. What You Will Do Primary duties will include audio transcription of clinic and discharge letters, maintaining and updating computerised waiting list, dealing with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, GPs and other external and internal agencies. Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Applicants should have a relevant secretarial qualification, e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification. Medical terminology is essential for this post. Experience of working an Inpatient/Outpatient waiting list.
