About the role You will help the Learning and Community Engagement team welcome school groups to our three sites in Warwick: Market Hall Museum, St John’s House, and the County Record Office. Your main tasks will include: Greeting school groups when they arrive. Making sure Group Leaders have everything they need to deliver school workshops. Setting out resources for workshops with Group Leaders Helping with workshops when needed. Escorting school groups to the right place for workshops and lunch. Keeping the rooms tidy after visits. You will also help run fun family activities during school holidays at Market Hall Museum and other places in Warwick. Sometimes you will help with special events like the Haunted House experience. Some work will be in the evenings or at weekends. From time to time, you may help with private events at Market Hall Museum with the Development Team. What we are looking for: Friendly and welcoming individual Someone who enjoys working with people. Good organisational skills and timekeeping. A team player who can talk and listen well. An interest in heritage is useful but not needed. The post is offered as a casual contract. Availability of work depends on school groups making bookings and events being planned at the Market Hall Museum. This role would be suitable for individuals looking for work that can be flexible around other commitments. We want people who enjoy meeting the public, like variety, and can take the lead when needed. About the Learning and Community Engagement Team Our team runs workshops for schools, family events, and activities for adults, at sites in Warwick. We also run groups like Arty Tots, sleepovers, and evening events. Support Assistants help deliver our family activities and various evening events. About Heritage and Culture Warwickshire We help people learn about Warwickshire’s history and nature. We care for Warwickshire’s archives, museum, and natural history collections. Our sites include Market Hall Museum, St John’s House, the County Record Office, and a Collections Centre. We also work with local communities across Warwickshire.
