1-3 PQE Structured Finance Associate

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Structured Finance lawyer to join their dynamic and growing practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented finance lawyer to take on a key role within a top-tier structured finance team known for its technical excellence and client-centric approach.

Position Overview

As a Structured Finance Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional legal services to the firm's prestigious client base. You will work closely with partners and senior associates on a wide range of complex structured finance transactions, with a particular focus on secured borrowing base facilities. This position offers the chance to expand your expertise, take on increased responsibility, and contribute to the ongoing success of the practice.

Responsibilities

  1. Take primary responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating senior and mezzanine finance documents.
  2. Manage transaction processes from inception to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
  3. Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support.
  4. Develop a deep understanding of clients' industries, businesses, and unique challenges.
  5. Explore innovative solutions, such as the use of AI, to enhance service delivery.
  6. Foster and grow client relationships through exceptional service and proactive engagement.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and industry groups to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  8. Actively participate in training, mentoring, and leadership development programmes.

Requirements

  1. 1-3 PQE - Qualified in E&W or commonwealth jurisdictions.
  2. Strong expertise in LMA facility and intercreditor documents and English law security documents.
  3. Proven ability to lead and manage LMA-style transactions from concept to completion.
  4. Flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for expanding knowledge of structured finance products.
  5. Excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  6. Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
  7. Commitment to understanding clients' needs and delivering high-quality, impactful advice.
