Job OverviewGleeson Homes are recruiting for a Senior Land Manager to lead the Regional land team to source and secure new land supply opportunities in-line with Company requirements, Regional land strategy and Group land acquisition parameters to meet the Region's business plans and future growth requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Land Manager to join a fast growing home builder covering the Midlands and the north of England. You will be establishing the regional land supply strategy and working closely with the Regional Managing Director, Regional Senior Management team and the Group Land Director.ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Land Manager you will be responsible for the acquisition of land and the securing of new sites for development that will meet or exceed Gleeson Homes regional forecast performance. You will see acquisitions through the legal process and attain satisfactory planning approvals on acquired sites.Research and attend seminars, conferences and events to stay fully informed of the current and key issues affecting land acquisitions, including government and local planning agendas and design considerations.Agree HOTs and purchase land to ensure continuity of land supply to meet future forecasts.Provide detailed land bids that demonstrate the company\'s profitability requirements are met.Demonstrate that site acquisition terms concur with agreed and authorised land bids.Negotiate and prepare the legal documentation associated with land acquisitions.Draw to the attention of the Group Land Director any issues which may affect existing or future obligations.Liaise with legal representatives and advise on the legal status of developments.Brief design teams, external consultants, and internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of planning on sites.Ensure planning is delivered within time, budget and any other applicable obligations.Negotiate on behalf of the company and in conjunction with the Land Director in planning agreements that meet the company\'s requirements in respect of forecast profit.The Ideal CandidateExperience as a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager within a high-volume housebuilding companyUp to date knowledge of land acquisition legislationUp to date knowledge of regional Local Planning Authorities and Local Plans statusStrong network of contacts within patchCommitted to progressing land deals and moving sites through acquisition stages efficientlyAbility to self-source land opportunities; understanding of the plan making system and how to promote sites through the processCommercially astuteGood communication and negotiation skillsAble to work within a regional team, and to mentor younger land team membersIT literate (Microsoft Office)BenefitsGenerous holiday entitlement of 26 days per annum + bank holidaysChoice of company car/ car allowanceDiscretionary Bonus SchemeHoliday Buy Back SchemeCompany Pension SchemePrivate Medical Insurance SchemeHealthshield membershipLife Assurance SchemeShare Purchase PlanHighstreet/ Store Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
