Square Mile Connections is pleased to partner with a respected non‑banking financial organisation based in the heart of London, seeking to appoint a dedicated Client Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background in client accounting and strong working knowledge of Structured Finance & SPVs to join a reputable firm that values expertise, integrity, and professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all activities, and supporting the organisation's commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Include: Managing and overseeing client accounting records for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and client requirements. Coordinating with auditors and ensuring all compliance obligations are met within set deadlines. Assisting in the internal processes related to reporting and financial analysis for the client portfolio. Maintaining strong communication channels with clients, providing support and clarification regarding their accounts. Ensuring all transactions and account activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards. Supporting month‑end and year‑end closing processes, providing detailed reconciliations and reports. Skills & Experience: Qualified Accountant with proven experience in client accounting. Working knowledge of Capital Markets / Structured Finance. Strong understanding of IFRS & UK GAAP. Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications. Detail‑oriented, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
