It is expected that the successful candidate will become a medical appraiser within their first year in post if they are not already. Main duties of the job The postholder will work in collaboration with other Clinical Directors within the CareGroup to support the delivery of a robust quality governance framework, as part of the collective leadership team supporting the delivery of effective, safe, and high-quality care delivery to patients, carers and their families. The postholder will contribute to the strategic direction for safe and high-quality services; this will include the development and delivery of key actions within the Trust Strategy and other relevant clinical plans. The postholder will be accountable to the Trust’s Deputy Medical Director in relation to the leadership and management of safe medical staffing and caseloads oversight across the services, escalating concerns and offering solutions where possible. Person specificationQualifications Full registration with the GMC. Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register as a Psychiatrist (in any sub specialty) or a trainee within six months of completing their CCT MRC Psych or equivalent higher qualification Higher Specialist Training in Psychiatry (e.g. SpR scheme) MD, Management qualification, other professional qualification (e.g. CBT, PSI, CAT) Endorsement in sub-specialty Experience Previous experience within Clinical Psychiatry.
