Our focus is on electrification and telemetry, control and analytics.To deliver efficient lightweight electric powertrain and vehicle development; motorsport solutions that make series more sustainable and efficient; reliable connectivity solutions for transportation and insightful analytics and monitoring of transport fleets.By applying our expertise, we deliver real benefits and pioneer a better future.Purpose Of The RoleTo competently follow predefined test processes to deliver products through advanced and specialised experience, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.Role DimensionsOvertime during certain periods of the year is essential to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.Principal AccountabilitiesLeads and delivers in test activities following instructions and processes to ensure technology is delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost effective manner.Supervises and provides support to test technicians.Completes own work unsupervised and facilitates the work and activities of others; may coordinate work beyond own area.Acts as a lead, proposes improvements to processes and coordinates the work of others.Performs/prepares test activities during product manufacturing.Electronics assembly inspection support.Use of standard bench top test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters etc.Ability to fault find electronic circuits and assemblies to component level.Follows and communicates understanding of test procedures, processes and technical documentation.Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.Maintains manufacturing documentation to achieve full standards of traceability.Fully contributes to the process of continuous improvements and company goal of achieving zero defects in accordance with ISO9001 certified quality management systems requirements.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications And ExperienceGood GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths.ONC, HNC or equivalent in an electronic discipline essential.Comprehensive understanding of relevant IPC standards.General understanding of industry standards and regulations in order to ensure guidelines are followed and machinery and equipment are operated safety.Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise.Basic PC skills.Good time management.Good attention to detail to allow you to maintain or exceed high levels of production/test standards and efficiency.Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.Comprehensive understanding of working in similar high technology environment.What We Can Offer YouIn return for everything you bring to the table, we can ensure an exciting, challenging role in a dynamic business surrounded by some of the best people in their respective fields.At McLaren Applied we firmly believe its the relationships and friendships we create while working that make us special.
