You will be a Cost Consultant within our Cost & Commercial Management team, working on a variety of water/utilities projects and programmes. You will help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects with a team of highly talented professionals. With your energy, agility, and keen eye for detail, you will deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients to support a more sustainable tomorrow. The role sits within our Resilience GBA, where we work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.As climate change, rapid urbanisation, and biodiversity loss present increasing risks, we are committed to protecting the natural environment and water resources while powering the world for future generations.Role accountabilitiesWork as part of a team alongside the Project Manager and Senior Cost Consultant to administer post-contract administration of NEC contracts, including assessment of contractual change and payments.Liaise with external contractors and consultants.Support suppliers in providing accurate and validated Project Cost and Financial Forecasts information.Provide commercial support, advice, and guidance through all gateways to minimise cost and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.Provide contract support and guidance.Provide pre-contract support – including estimating and procurement.Support risk and opportunity activities by validating costs for the Project Efficiency register before submission.Participate in lessons learned workshops to capture value and future considerations.Participate in risk and value management meetings as required for projects.Audit and agree Final Accounts.Qualifications & ExperienceDemonstrated self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.Ability to learn and develop; good knowledge of construction processes and cost and commercial management in a consultancy setting.NEC Contract experience.Ability to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff on projects typically ranging between £1m and £20m.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties.Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is ideally preferred.Ideally membership with a professional body (MRICS or working towards chartership).Experience in water and wastewater and/or regulated industries is desirable.Why Arcadis?We empower everyone to be their best and pursue a skills-based approach so you can harness your unique experience to shape your career path and maximize impact.
