They're now looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and take responsibility for the financial and contractual management of key projects.The Role As Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest commercial standards. Responsibilities will include:Managing cost control, valuations, and project forecastingAdministering contracts (JCT / NEC), variations, and final accountsPreparing and managing subcontractor procurement and paymentsSupporting the preparation of monthly commercial reports and cost reviewsIdentifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risksWorking closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial complianceAssisting in the mentoring of Assistant Quantity Surveyors where requiredAbout YouDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial ManagementProven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within construction or engineeringSound understanding of commercial and contractual principles (NEC / JCT)Experience in fire protection or specialist trades is advantageous but not essentialStrong communication, negotiation, and analytical skillsProficient in commercial systems such as CostX, Bluebeam, or ExcelProactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyThis role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to progress their career within a forward-thinking and growing contractor, working across a variety of major projects in London and the South East.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
