You'll find a collaborative and supportive work culture that prioritises employee development and fosters long-term career progression.You will likeThe Estimator job itself will focus on preparing detailed quotes and managing the financial aspects of a variety of building projects, from refurbishments and extensions to new builds up to £1 million. In this office-based role, with occasional site visits, you will work closely with architects, surveyors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring accurate costing and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining profitability while rigorously adhering to industry standards and regulations. More specifically:Preparing quotes and estimates for a variety of building worksManaging project finances from quotation to completionCarrying out interim valuations and final accountsCosting variations and ensuring profitabilityAttending site visits and liaising with contractors, consultants, and clientsEnsuring estimates reflect current building practices and regulationsYou will haveTo be successful as an Estimator, you will have a healthy mix of the following:Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Estimator or Quantity Surveyor roleUp-to-date knowledge of construction estimating and building regulationsPrevious experience in public sector projects is a big plusFamiliarity with Schedules of Rates would be very helpfulRelevant qualifications or professional memberships (RICS/CIOB/etc.) desirableA full UK driving licenceYou will getAs an Estimator, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £50,000 to £55,000 + PackageSalary: £55,000 per annumCar allowance29 days holiday (including bank holidays)Private healthcareContributed pension schemeA supportive and professional working environment with long-term securityYou can applyto the Estimator position by pushing the button on this job posting (recommended), or by sending your CV in confidence to anthony@macstaff.co.ukUK_MS #J-18808-Ljbffr
