In this role, you will be responsible for building, assembling, testing, and repairing water treatment and pre-treatment equipment to the highest standards, ensuring all work aligns with SOCOTEC procedures and specifications.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:Reading and following all work and test instructions accuratelyBuilding equipment to specification from electrical and mechanical drawingsElectro-mechanical assembly, including chassis, wiring, and pipeworkConstructing a range of water treatment systems, including Ozone, Cyclone Filtration, Water Softeners, Reverse Osmosis, Chlorine Dioxide and Chemical Dosing systemsTesting completed products and completing all associated test reportsInspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing returned equipment and providing status reportsCarrying out repairs and service exchange work on water treatment equipmentMaintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workspaceEnsuring documentation and build notes/manuals are kept up to dateLiaising with the line manager regarding build progress and expected completion timesOccasionally attending off-site locations to work alongside engineersInspecting workshop tools, machinery and equipment, and reporting any faults to managementTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:Strong electro-mechanical assembly skillsExperience in manufacturing, testing, and wiringAbility to problem-solve effectivelyExcellent numeracy skillsGood computer literacy, including the use of iPads and software tools (SIM cards, Data/4G, VPN, etc.)Understanding of IPC 620 wire and cable standardsBasic knowledge of pressure testing and associated proceduresAbility to maintain high levels of accuracy and quality in all tasksCommitment to maintaining health and safety standards and following RAMsIt is desirable, that you also have some or all of the following:Knowledge of water pre-treatment processes and equipmentExperience with Microsoft Office applicationsA forklift licenceA full UK driving licenceAbout Water Consultancy And EquipmentOur Water Consultancy team provide services such as statutory water hygiene tasks, chemical and microbiological analysis of various systems such as cooling towers, domestic water systems and closed heating/chilled closed circuits. Our Water Equipment Engineers manufacture our own equipment in house that is fully supported with CAD schematics / Revit files. We supply our clients with equipment such as reverse osmosis units, water softeners and water filtration services, among many others.
