Warehouse Assistant – James Fisher and Sons plc Apply now to join our warehouse team at our Great Yarmouth office. About Us Scantech Offshore, part of the James Fisher Group, provides rental equipment and heat‑suppression safety systems for the oil, gas and maritime sectors. The Role The Warehouse Assistant supports the warehouse team with general duties such as stock counts, goods arrival, issuing stock, packing spare shipments, and assisting the logistics team. The role ensures smooth warehouse operations and maintains high standards of health and safety. Key Duties & Responsibilities Provide general support to the workshop team in all aspects of warehouse activity. Ensure all received items are processed and issued via the IFS system. Maintain a professional and courteous approach to colleagues and customers. Support the logistics team with tasks including checking, packing, unpacking shipments, stock counting, signing delivery notes, and issuing stock to the workshop team. Unload/load spare shipments. Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times. Identify personal training needs and bring them to the attention of the departmental manager. Who are we looking for? Strong communication skills, initiative, teamwork, ability to follow instructions, self‑motivation and effective time‑management. Qualifications & Experience Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literacy. Good understanding of English grammar and interpersonal skills. Experience with CRM and business management software is an advantage. General labouring experience and supplier interactions. Mechanical background and stock control experience preferred. Maths and English qualifications. Manual working background an advantage. Valid UK driving licence; forklift licence preferred. Ability to live within commuting distance of Great Yarmouth.
