Job Summary:
Main Street Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Manager-In-Training. This is a full-time, hourly position within one of our hotels in the collection. The Manager-In-Training will work closely with the management team to gain experience and knowledge in all aspects of hotel and restaurant operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a positive guest experience and maintaining the high standards of Main Street Hospitality.

This is a seasonal management position for those who are interested in gaining additional experience in the Hospitality Industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in a structured rotation program focused on either Rooms Division or F&B Division with the hotel operations.
  2. Provide excellent customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and addressing any issues that may arise.
  3. Learn and adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure all guests have a consistent and positive experience.
  4. Help develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
  5. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improving operations.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Complete administrative tasks as assigned, such as generating reports and managing inventory.
  8. Participate in formal training and development initiatives tailored for the MSH MIT Program.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; working towards a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in hospitality or food service industry preferred.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  6. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  7. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
