Year in Industry Placement | Protein Engineering Location: Oxford, UKDepartment: Protein Engineering Key Responsibilities: Maintain mammalian cells in culture, passaging them and expanding them for experiments Perform cell staining to assess binding of effectors to targets Utilise automation within workflows Optimise and validate automated cell staining Attend project meetings and engage with scientists and project leads Collaborate with various teams to understand how the automated cell staining workflow can be applied to multiple projects by all teams Education & Qualifications: Undertaking a second year BSc. in Biological or Biomedical Sciences (looking for a year in industry) What you’ll receive: Paid placement 25 days of annual leave (pro rata) Pension scheme eligibility Access to active Sports and Social Club with subsidised events Important information: Application deadline: 09th January 2026 Phone interviews start shortly after deadline Shortlisted candidates invited to Assessment Centre on 23–26 February 2026 Placements start 7th September 2026 Position is full‑time, based at Abingdon, Oxfordshire office, contracted through a third party Candidate must be currently undergoing a degree with a placement year (sandwich year) Seniority Level: Internship Employment type: Contract Job function: Research and Science Immunocore is a pioneering, commercial‑stage T cell receptor biotechnology company committed to diversity and equal opportunity.
