In this role the Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of Field Sales Representatives across the European market, driving revenue growth for high-density liquid cooling (HDLC) solutions, intelligent PDUs, and white space data center infrastructure. This role requires deep AI/HPC industry expertise, hands‑on leadership, and the ability to build senior relationships with global MTDCs, large local operators, and enterprise customers. Based in the UK, this position leads sales operations across UK, France, Germany, and extends to Nordics, Italy, and Spain. This involves 60‑70% travel across European markets, willingness to travel to customer sites, industry events, and team locations. Team Leadership & Management Lead and develop a team across different European countries with plans for substantial team expansion Drive strategic hiring significantly based on market opportunities Set SMART objectives and performance targets for each team member, ensuring clear accountability and measurable outcomes Provide coaching and mentorship to develop team capabilities in HDLC technologies, consultative selling, and customer relationship management Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans to maximize team potential Foster a winning culture through hands‑on leadership, resilience, and entrepreneurial problem‑solving Strategic Sales Leadership Own revenue targets for European field sales organization, driving growth in HDLC, CDU, RDHX, iPDU, and manifold solutions Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for white space data center solutions across key European markets Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with global MTDCs (Equinix, Digital Realty, Iron Mountain, etc.) and large local operators Establish strategic partnerships with enterprise customers in financial services, telecommunications, cloud providers, and research institutions Lead complex, multi‑country sales campaigns requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders and technical teams Market Development & Intelligence Monitor AI/HPC market trends and data center infrastructure developments across Europe Identify emerging opportunities in liquid cooling adoption, high‑density computing, and sustainability‑driven infrastructure upgrades Analyze competitive landscape and develop strategies to differentiate nVent solutions in the market Provide market intelligence to product management and business development teams to guide future development Represent nVent at industry events, conferences, and customer forums to build brand presence and thought leadership Cross‑Functional Collaboration Take ownership of challenges and obstacles Drive initiatives beyond traditional sales role to establish market presence and competitive advantage Adapt quickly to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and competitive pressures Maintain resilience in face of setbacks and resource constraints, finding creative solutions to achieve objectives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field •MBA or advanced degree preferred Ideally 10+ years in B2B technology sales with proven track record of team leadership Ideally 5+ years managing sales teams across multiple European countries Deep AI/HPC industry knowledge with understanding of infrastructure requirements and trends Liquid cooling or white space data center infrastructure experience required Proven success with global MTDCs, large enterprises, and complex technical sales cycles Comprehensive understanding of data center white space solutions: ◦High‑density liquid cooling (HDLC) technologies, Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx), Intelligent Power Distribution Units (iPDUs), Rack manifolds and secondary loop systems, AI/HPC infrastructure requirements including power density, thermal management, and scalability European data center market dynamics including regulatory requirements, sustainability trends, and regional differences Industry presence through events, associations. Resilience and adaptability in fast‑changing markets Excellent English (written and verbal) - required, Additional European languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian) - highly preferred You posses strong presentation skills for customer and internal audiences You are an expert negotiator for complex, multi‑stakeholder deals At nVent, we connect and protect our customers with inventive electrical solutions.
