RoleLicensing ManagerCompanySEGA Europe LtdLocationBuilding 12, Chiswick Business Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4 5ANThe Licensing Manager will manage the regional outbound licensing of SEGA’s IPs, including Sonic the Hedgehog, for a selection category within the Softlines Portfolio (Apparel, Accessories, Home & other relevant consumer product categories). This is a key role within the licensing team that hold responsibility for helping to shape the licensing strategy for a major global entertainment business and is tasked with planning and executing on aggressive commercial targets.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive and deliver assigned category revenues growth to support the SEGA Europe annual business planManage the related categories inclusive of licensees account management, analysing performance and marketing strategy for product sell-in and sell-through.Identify, pitch and secure new licensing opportunities across multiple categoriesDevelop and execute on detailed category plans, directly and / or in partnership with licensing agentsManage quarterly forecast submissions & reviews against budget goalsOversee licensing contracts, negotiate key business terms with licensees and work closely with legal team to finalize contracts.Develop a strong network across the business, liaise & collaborate with internal SEGA stakeholders including Marketing, Retail, Product Development, Finance, Legal, SEGA international offices etc…EssentialKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceSignificant experience in a related role, with previous experience in Softlines or Retail.Communication Skills : excellent presentation and written communication skills; relationship-building and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation skills with a thorough understanding of contract terms.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projectsAbility to travel as needed for stakeholder / partner meetings, trade shows, and events.Technical skills : Strong MS Office including excel spreadsheets, and PowerPointDesirableDegree educated and / or equivalent working experience.This job description is an accurate reflection of the duties and responsibilities of the post as at the time of writing but will be changed from time to time as the job is a career development job which will be adjusted according to the progress of the job holder.
