You’ll manage a range of ER cases, ensure timely resolution through effective use of the JSM system, and support managers with coaching and attendance at key meetings.LocationHybrid – London, Cardiff, Southampton or Manchester offices (3 days per week)Ratec£250 per day (inside IR35)HoursStandard business hoursStartASAPDurationInitial 6‑month contractResponsibilitiesSupport the People Advisory Lead in delivering a highly‑regarded advisory service that supports a culture of leader‑led People activityHandle and resolve queries received by the Advisory teamProvide first‑line expert guidance on employment‑related matters including conduct, performance, contractual queries, absence management, flexible working, and occupational health referralsManage cases related to disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance, and absence managementLeverage the JSM system for workload management and timely resolution, meeting service expectations and SLAsSupport and coach managers and attend appropriate meetings as requiredAssist with designing and delivering development for Starling managers, such as performance reviews, absence management, discipline and grievance managementIdentify risks, track issues to resolution, and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and qualityParticipate in creating and documenting process improvements focused on automation and manager self‑serveInterpret and apply policies and procedures and determine what should be escalatedProvide up‑to‑date expert advice on relevant trends, regulations, policy, and legislationEssential Skills & ExperienceCIPD qualification or currently working towardsExtensive experience in a similar People Advisory roleProven track record of handling and resolving ER casesStrong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law, ACAS Codes, employment practices, and proactive action advisingStrong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders, influencing at a senior levelExperience of SMCR and FCA Conduct Rules beneficialExcellent written communication skills, experience preparing investigation reports and outcome letters with findings, recommendations, policy, and process documentsAble to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentAgile and able to adapt to changing projects and priorities, remaining composed and positive under setbacksAbility to see the bigger picture and build strategic delivery plansAbility to handle multiple priorities, including complex cases and people projectsStrong execution skills and acute attention to detailAnalytical mindset to identify trends within data setsPatience and calmness in stressful situationsProactive approach to work, generating ideas, challenging the status quo, and suggesting new processesSeniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionHuman ResourcesIndustriesHuman Resources Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
