Job Summary We are looking for a salaried GP to cover 4–6 sessions. The role is based in Gravesend Riverside Heritage Town, just 10 minutes from Bluewater. Full‑time, part‑time and sessional doctors are welcome. GPwSI and trainers are encouraged, and newly qualified doctors may be considered for partnership. Low visits managed by ANP/Home Visiting Team Reduced admin with prescription clerks 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave Indemnity fees paid Dedicated team of ANPs, clinical pharmacists, nurses, HCAs and support staff On‑call duties only, no extended hours Consistently high QOF achievement Dedicated free parking Job Description A key member of the team, you will manage a caseload and address a wide range of presenting health‑care needs in primary care. You will work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care for all registered patients. The post holder will be expected to undertake all normal GP duties, including: Provide excellent medical care in line with GMC guidance Maintain accurate medical records and QOF points Review pathology and investigation results, perform appropriate referrals and use DOCMAN Support other healthcare professionals as required and work as a team player Provide clinical leadership within the practice Conduct surgery and telephone/video consultations, and home visits as needed Issue and sign repeat prescriptions and manage paperwork and correspondence efficiently Make autonomous clinical decisions for self‑referrals and internal referrals Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Develop care plans in consultation with patients Prescribe according to the formulary Admit or discharge patients and refer to external providers when appropriate Provide supervision and teaching for training doctors Comply with practice policies, e.g., child protection and confidentiality issues Commit to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based practice Maintain GMC registration and performers list inclusion Participate in practice meetings, training, and strategic development Meet audit deadlines and submit returns to meet quality standards and funding requirements Person Specification – Essential Relevant qualifications GMC registered Performers list registration DBS checked Experience as a GP in a primary care or community setting Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
