Lead on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts to drive business objectives while effectively managing risk. Support the bids and tenders process, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment. Work closely with the Group Head of Legal to build and evolve a best‑in‑class legal function. Conduct contract risk assessments and provide pragmatic, commercially focused guidance to stakeholders. Represent Marston in client meetings, negotiations, and regulatory discussions. Ensure compliance with key legislation, including the Companies Act 2006, DPA 2018 and SRA regulations. What We’re Looking For Qualified UK Solicitor or Barrister with 5+ years’ PQE. Strong background in commercial contract law, procurement, and corporate governance. Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex, high‑value commercial contracts. In‑house experience (private sector preferred). Exceptional stakeholder management with the confidence to influence at board level. Strong problem‑solving skills and sound commercial judgment, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
