Position: Business Development Manager-Thermal Imaging Location: Melksham, United Kingdom Job Id : 790 # of Openings : 0 Job Title : Business Development Manager-Thermal Imaging Location : Melksham, UK Business Unit : Avon Protection Scope of the Function Reporting to the Director Thermal Imaging, the Business Development Manager – Thermal Imaging is accountable for securing the commercial performance and growth within Thermal Imaging. They will be an effective leader and communicator and have experience and understanding of the handheld thermal imaging and / or firefighter markets. With an ability to develop long-standing and productive relationships at all levels of an organisation with key national and reginal end-user and strategic global partners. They are charged with developing a global market-level strategy that enhances top and bottom-line growth for Avon Protection. The role is based in the UK and is expected to have extensive international travel requirements. Key Responsibilities Represent Avon Protection in Thermal Imaging with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings. Define and implement the sales and growth strategy for Thermal Imaging, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded. Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans for the pursuit and successful capture of key opportunities. Identify and qualify new business development opportunities to improve the company’s business portfolio. Build and strengthen customer and partner relationships, establishing Avon as the primary organisation for customers to turn to in support of their business objectives. Accountable for delivering targeted orders, revenue, and contribution margin budgets. Provide ongoing strategic insights and recommendations on new marketplace channels, adjacent opportunities, and regional geographies for growth. Maintain a deep understanding of market competitors and trends, including evolving technologies, customer needs, expectations, and opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, leading the successful capture of sales opportunities. Represent the company at trade shows and global events as needed. Accountabilities and Performance Measures Targeted orders, revenue, profit contribution and strategic objectives Forecasting accuracy and effective planning engagement with SIOP process Accurate and on-time reporting essential for organisation effectiveness. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in international business development and sales management. Track record of leading and successfully delivering growth / new business campaigns in a complex technical environment Demonstrated background as a Sales / Business Development Manager or equivalent role with validated high value sales solutions experience and Senior level relationship management. Demonstrated ability to build long-standing relationships with international customers and partners that deliver value for the organisation. Experience of defining and implementing a global sales strategy Strong understanding and appreciation of handheld thermal imaging procurement programs and buying cycles. Internationally astute with a strong appreciation of regional cultures and norms Significant negotiating and commercial management experience with large, sophisticated customers and partners Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams in delivering programs of change. Strong team player with proven ability to work within a team to deliver the company strategy and sales targets. Can do and positive attitude when faced with challenging programs. Creative thinker with the ability to structure and execute complex initiatives and strategic growth programs. Outstanding communications skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present complex concepts and business solutions to senior leaders and cross-functional audiences Experience and demonstrated success working in an international environment across multiple time zones and cultures.
