Job Title Business & Retail Tutor Location Ipswich Working Hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, 1‑hour lunch unpaid, 37.5 hours per week Contract Type Perm Reports to Centre Manager Salary Band UnqualifiedQualified per annum Who are we looking for We’re looking for a passionate SEN Business & Retail Tutor to support learners in developing the skills, confidence and knowledge they need to progress into work, further education or training. You’ll provide 1:1 and group sessions delivering engaging tailored support that meets the needs of every learner. Qualifications Qualified to DTLLS / Cert Ed / PGCE or equivalent (desirable) Qualified to PTLLS / AET or equivalent (essential) GCSE or equivalent in English and maths at grade C / 4 or above (essential) Business and Retail (experience and qualifications are essential) Employability (experience is essential) Assessor qualification (desirable) Main Tasks & Responsibilities Deliver engaging Entry Level and Level 1 retail and business sessions to individuals and groups Support learners to develop CVs, interview skills, job applications and work‑related skills Plan lesson schemes of work and Individual Student Plans (ISPs) Mark, assess and set targets for learners to develop knowledge and skills through their programme Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to learners, parents and professionals where appropriate Plan educational visits and work‑related activities Follow and promote safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection policies Support and teach young people who have ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, OCD, Tourette’s and other neuro‑divergent needs and challenging behaviour Who are we TCHC Group has been creating opportunities since 2004, supporting young people and adults to learn, achieve and progress. This will be pro‑rata for part‑time hours. We operate a Christmas and New Year shutdown period during which you will receive an additional 3 days of leave at full pay to cover this closure period after 1 year of service.
