Overview To provide a high‑quality service for M&G plc as part of the Regulatory Reporting function within Controls & Assurance, covering Shareholder Reporting, AIFMD Annex IV, MMF, CPO, Position Limits, MiFID, EMIR, and SFTR reporting. The Regulatory Reporting function is organised into three teams – Transaction Reporting, Position Reporting, and Change – each led by a dedicated Manager. This role is a Shareholder Reporting Senior Analyst reporting directly to the Position Reporting Manager, acting as authoriser of BAU tasks, SME/point of contact, and supporting the Manager in leading the team and developing junior analysts. The Senior Analyst will take ownership of governance forums, gather MI statistics, liaise with external stakeholders, analyse regulatory changes, assess process/system enhancements, and provide project support. Applicants should have strong analytical skills, a good understanding of Position Reporting Regulations, and proven experience of Shareholder Reporting (Threshold/Disclosure of Interest Reporting). Continually monitor and improve processes, controls, and procedures. Liaise with key stakeholders to collect and verify data, ensuring accurate and timely regulatory information. Ensure data lineage and governance for system data. Assess data risk impact on the organisation. Run regular quality controls for data completeness and accuracy. Support the Position Reporting Manager and team to meet all regulatory requirements. Maintain relationships with the Transaction Reporting team and the Change team through efficient communication. Own governance processes and operating group meetings. Manage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders. Support junior staff with development and training. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience of Shareholder Reporting (Threshold/Disclosure of Interest Reporting). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good technical acumen and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of liaising with all levels. Proactivity, enthusiasm, and a drive to learn. Effective time‑management and prioritisation to meet deadlines. Flexibility and ability to work both independently and in a team. Ability to follow tasks and projects to completion. Strong practical experience with large volumes of data. High literacy and numeracy with extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI and other data‑analysis applications (advantage). Knowledge of Position Reporting regulations. Knowledge of M&G Group structure or equivalent (advantage). Experience interpreting regulations and changes. Experience liaising with lawyers or legal counsel (advantage).
