What is this role exactly?This is an exciting opportunity for an Allocations & Lettings Officer to join the Housing Management team, providing a high-quality Lettings service to new and existing customers, in Lancashire, Yorkshire and Wigan.We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic team member who has a passion for going the extra mile to ensure that existing customers have an effortless journey in ending their tenancy with us and new customers have an excellent 1st experience of Your Housing Group, when applying for a new home, all whilst meeting team targets.What will my working week look like?Working from home, you will be the first point of contact for customers who are applying for a new home with YHG. You will guide new customers through the application process advising and supporting the customer though the application process, providing regular updates right through to the viewing, sign-up and handover of keys.You will also be responsible for supporting existing customers when ending their tenancy, again ensuring a smooth process from notice to the home going into maintenance. You will also need to be based within a reasonable traveling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.What will I be responsible for doing?First and foremost, you will be responsible for the empty homes and lettings process. Liaising with customers – new and existing, liaising with Local authority, external partners, and internal teams, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for the customer, business need, productivity, and quality.One of the important things about this role is you will represent YHG and be a first point of contact for new customers.
